SEN Teacher (Special Education Teacher) - (K-5)
Job Description
Incorporate personalized, evidence-based learning plans to support the diverse needs of all students. You will create an environment that balances academic rigor with social and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Individualized Instruction: Adapt general education lessons to meet individual student needs (IEPs/504s).
Progress Monitoring: Assess and record academic progress and behavioral data, adjusting strategies regularly.
Collaboration: Work closely with parents, therapists, and faculty to ensure integrated support.
Behavior Support: Implement and oversee behavior intervention plans and foster a supportive classroom climate.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Education, preferrably Special Education.
Certification: Must hold or be eligible for a relevant state teaching license or credential (SEN specialization preferred).
Skills: Proficiency in diverse learning technologies and creating IEP/504 documentation.
Experience: Proven experience working in inclusive classrooms or dedicated SEN settings.
